WFCR Pub Night

The Northampton Brewery will be serving up a delicious spread of complementary appetizers and offers an extensive beer (of course!), wine and cocktail menu (cash bar). Share a drink with friends, talk to other public radio fans and meet some of the people you hear on WFCR and WNNZ every day.

We'll be giving away some great prizes, including some brand new New England Public Radio t-shirts, concert tickets and more, so stop in for your chance to win!

It all starts Wednesday, September 21st at 5:30. Hope you can join us.

September Beer Social

We are happy to announce that we will be hosting a beer social on Tuesday, September 6th. We will be joined by Master Brewer Ben Roesch of Wormtown Brewing in Worcester. There will be several beers from both breweries provided in a festive atmosphere that encourages conversation with the brewers as well as other attendees.

Accompanying these hand-crafted wonders will be an array of food featuring produce freshly picked from JOE's farm. The menu will be a collaboration between soon-to-be former Head Chef Chris Ware and new Head Chef Nate Wagner. Slated to be on the menu are such treats as caramelized onion, goat cheese and duck pizza; drunken mussels (featuring our Belgian-inspired Bier de Boog); local bread & cheese table; and much more. As always, our Head Brewer Donald Pacher will break out some special treats (vintage beers or a special cask) because, well...that's how he rolls. $30 gets you a commemorative tasting glass, 2 hours of sampling beer, thoughtfully paired tastings made with both local ingredients and fresh beer. Ben tells us he will be bringing Wormtown's pumpkin ale and you know Donald will have at least one IPA. It will all take place in the Northampton Brewery's sunroom from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Come wish the best of luck to Chris Ware, the new co-owner of Jake's No-frills Dining and help us welcome new Head Chef Nate Wagner as he takes the helm.

Check out our new menu!

The opening of the deck is little more than a month away, and spring is right around the corner. What better time to add some delicious new items to our menu? From appetizers like the arancini or Cajun catfish bites (an old favorite) to the wedge salad or house made chipotle sausage panini, we have some great lunch options. And they all go great with beer; we've done extensive research. Or if you're looking for something by way of a hearty supper, we have Angus tenderloin steak tips with choice of three sauces or the spinach and cheese stuffed chicken Parmesan. Those are a few of more than a dozen new items on our menu...just some food for thought.

Construction Shutdown

We will be closing Monday, February 7th and reopen on Wednesday the 9th at 4:30. This should (hopefully) complete our floor renovations. We will be ready for Green Night with the WMGC and Green Drinks as soon as we open. If you need a fix of Noho beer during that time, we have some growlers available to take home. Sorry for any inconvenience this might cause. We look forward to seeing you all for Valentine's Day; dinner specials and pink beer!

Happy New Year!

Thank you to all who came out to our New Year's Eve bash this year!  It was a great time and we hope you all have a healthy and prosperous 2011.

We have had a snowy January so far and I'm sure we can count on more to come.  You, can also count on the Northampton Brewery never closing due to poor weather conditions!  That doesn't mean we will never close though...sadly, we have to on January 24th, 25th and 26th, hoping to re-open the evening of the 26th at 5pm.  Happily, we are getting a new bar floor during that time we are closed.  We will know on the 24th if we will be able to open that Wednesday night, the 26th so stay posted.

On going events...

  • Every Sunday from 3pm to 6pm, enjoy traditional Celtic music with members from Banish Misfortune.
  • Every second Wednesday of the month, come down for "Green Night" and take part in the monthly meeting of the Western Mass. Green Consortium and network with Green Drinks-Northampton.  Both groups are open to all.

Cheers!
